Please join us and/or share news of the Magnificent Pierce Student Art Show opening this Thursday from 5-7 at the Jazz Gallery, 926 E Center St.
The show is a celebration of the students and art instructor at Franklin Pierce elementary school in Riverwest. On display will be a wide variety of student works including a site specific mural. In the face of MPS cuts to its art programming, these wonderful young artists continue to create works from their hearts and vivid imaginations. The show will run through June 5. The Jazz Gallery is open Thursday evenings from 5-8 and Saturdays from noon to 5 when there is a show installed.
The Riverwest Artists Association is pleased to host a celebration of the good work of Laura Niemi and her students, and regret the news that her position is one of many lost to district budget cuts next year.
As promised, here are the photos from our One Year Anniversary Showcase that was held on April 30, 2010. Click below to enjoy the photoset on Flickr, or just peruse the slideshow embedded on this page!
